Elyse Campus Cohen was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 15, 1940. She studied at the Art Students League, The Parsons School of Design, and at the New School of Social Research in New York City. She began her career designing textiles and later designing stained glass windows. Her art has been published by Bruce McGaw, Sunderland, Vermont; Flowers Forever, Los Angeles, California; Museum Editions West, Los Angeles, California; and Waterline Publications, Los Angeles, California.
