Ivan Kirov studied at the University of Southern California. After graduating with a bachelor in science degree he studied dance with Russian-born ballet dancer, Theodore Kosloff. Ivan Kirov made his dance debut at the Pasadena Playhouse in 1939. He studied acting with Lee Strasberg in Hollywood and played the leading role in the film Specter of the Rose. His theatre credits include but are not necessarily limited to the following: Oklahoma!; Song Without Words; Sons O’ Fun; and Vincent Youman’s Concert Review. With regard to his paintings and sculptures, Ivan Kirov was a self taught artist.
