Luca Alinari, Italian (1943 – 2019)

Luca Alinari was born on October 27, 1943, in Florence, Italy. He studied at the University of Florence in Florence, Italy. His colorful semi-abstract landscapes reflect the joyful nature of the Pop Art movement.

His first solo show was held in 1968, at Galleria Inquadrature in Florence, Italy. In 1979, he founded Signorina Rosina, a magazine presenting images and articles pertaining to fine art and avant-garde theater. In 2005, Christie’s auction house in Milan, Italy, sold Luca Alinari’s 47” x 47” painting titled Tower of Babel for 12,400 Euros. Luca Alinari’s self-portrait is in the permanent collection of the Uffizi Museum in Florence, Italy.

Luca Alinari died on March 15, 2019, in Florence, Italy. On October 22, 2019, a music concert was held in Florence, Italy in honor of the late Luca Alinari.
