Manaz

Artists can be taught the fundamentals of painting: composition, depth, color theory, balance, etc. However, no one can be taught to have passion for art, to put passion into their art. Passion is the key to creating art that has life – a story told through an image. Portraiture can be photographic, an exact likeness of a person and yet it can appear to have no life at all. A truly beautiful portrait must capture the essence of life, it must show that the person depicted in the painting is a thoughtful, emotional human being. Perhaps she is thinking about love, desire, or the feeling of a summer’s day. Look at any one of the many portraits created by Manaz and you will see not just a beautiful woman, but a woman lost in thought, a spark of life in the eyes – passion.
