Steve Memering, American, born in 1944

Steve Memering is a Sacramento, California native. He studied at California State University in Berkeley, CA, and at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Steve is known for his interpretive landscapes. “I paint what I remember, not what I see. What a camera records is not what I see.” His contemporary impressionist style is alive with color and a richness of depth.
